Rome, 11 January 2017 – It is announced that Piero Corpina has taken over as head of the Nordic & Baltic and USA Region and named Chief Executive Officer of the Danish companies Aalborg Portland A/S and Unicon A/S. The appointment was effective from 2 January 2017, with Corpina replacing Riccardo Nicolini, who held the position from January 2016. Nicolini will continue to work for the Group until his departure on 31 March 2017. Consequently, Riccardo Nicolini, non-independent director, has today submitted his resignation with immediate effect as Member of the Board of Directors of Cementir Holding SpA. Riccardo Nicolini was a member of the Executive Committee of the Company and, upon his resignation, disclosed ownership of shares in Cementir Holding SpA.

It is further announced that, on 9 January 2017, Philippe César was appointed member of the Board of Directors of CCB, Compagnie des Ciments Belges, a company acquired and added to the Cementir Group’s consolidation in October 2016. In the coming days he will also be appointed Chairman of CCB’s Board of Directors.
