REHABILITATION OF DISMANTLED QUARRIES AND RESTORATION OF BIODIVERSITY
Kudsk & Dahl completed operations in the Oksenvad gravel pit in 2018. The quarry has since been transformed into a natural area and is now open to the public.
This transformation was achieved through significant rehabilitation work, conducted continuously during gravel extraction and particularly in the post-extraction phase.
Today, the area includes a lake, purpose-built nature trails, thousands of replanted trees, and seating areas for visitors, thereby benefiting the local community.
