Group Health & Safety Week 2025: Focus on High-Risk jobs

In conjunction with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work (April 28th), Cementir is proud to celebrate the Group Health & Safety Week—an important opportunity to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to ensuring safe and healthy working environments for everyone.

This year, our focus is on high-risk activities, such as working at height or in confined spaces, across all our plants and sites. The goal is to raise awareness and reinforce the crucial role of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) measures in our daily operations.

Throughout April, all plants and offices worldwide are organizing initiatives around this theme, with also particular emphasis on equipment de-energization and isolation procedures. These activities aim to enhance awareness, encourage proactive behavior, and engage all employees in cultivating a strong safety culture.

In this regard, reporting unsafe behaviors and conditions, is recognized as a key practice for preventing accidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement. We believe in fostering a culture where everyone takes proactive steps to safeguard their own well-being and that of colleagues, suppliers, and the environment. Through trust, continuous learning, and accountability, we can achieve our shared goal: a safe workplace for all.

Health and safety are common values and shared responsibilities.

To support this collective effort, we are developing a new Group APP, a digital tool that will enable employees across all locations to report unsafe situations and share examples of positive safety behavior. Learning from both negative and positive events helps us improve, harmonize practices, and foster a mindset where safety is a daily attitude.

Safety is not just a compliance requirement—it is a fundamental value that unites us as a Group. Let’s all commit to protecting ourselves and one another, and to building a safer future for our entire organization.

“Safety Attitude. Each of us, for all of us.”
